Kate Juergens and Jenn Gerstenblatt, producers of Old Woman Naked in LA, worked together at ABC Family (ABC/Disney) where they were responsible for the network’s brand-defining series like Pretty Little Liars, The Fosters, Greek and Switched at Birth.
Before becoming Chief Creative Officer and EVP of ABC Family, Kate was Head of Development for the WB, where she had the opportunity to work with producers such as J.J. Abrams on Felicity, Joss Whedon on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Amy Sherman Palladino on Gilmore Girls. She began her career at NBC, where she was involved in the development and production of Will & Grace, The West Wing and Frasier.
Jenn is an independent producer who most recently served as SVP Comedy Development at Sony Pictures Television. While at Sony, she developed and produced Norman Lear’s final comedy series Clean Slate (Prime Video) as well as The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh (Prime Video) and Kari Lizer’s Call Your Mother (ABC). As Head of Current Programming at Freeform she oversaw 30+ series including Good Trouble, Grown-ish and The Bold Type.
Pamela Redmond is the author of more than 20 books of fiction and nonfiction, including the novel Younger, the basis for the seven-season TV show starring Sutton Foster.
Her humor book How Not to Act Old, which started as a blog, became a New York Times bestseller.
Redmond was the oldest female contestant ever on Shark Tank, pitching an AI service for her website Nameberry, the world’s largest baby-naming website based on ten books about names she coauthored.
It was AI’s challenge to writers and web publishers, ironically, that prompted the idea for Old Woman Naked. “I wanted to do something AI couldn’t do,” said Redmond. “Something live, something real, something personal, something human.”
Old Woman Naked is Redmond’s first play.
